Whether you’re already counting down the days until this party kicks off or just looking for more information, allow us to introduce Antony Davies and James R. Harrigan, two of this year’s FEEcon speakers.

Antony Davies is an economist and speaker joining us from Pennsylvania. Dr. Davies is Associate Professor of Economics at Duquesne University. He has written books on statistics, economics, and public policy and has co-authored hundreds of op-eds for, among others, the Wall Street Journal, The Los Angeles Times, New York Daily News, The Huffington Post, and The Washington Post. In addition to his academic work, Dr. Davies was CFO at Parabon Computation and founded several technology companies.

James R. Harrigan teaches in the Department of Political Economy and Moral Science at the University of Arizona. Dr. Harrigan was Dean of the American University of Iraq-Sulaimani and CEO of FreedomTrust, an educational non-profit. He writes weekly columns for newspapers throughout the country, including The Wall Street Journal, USA Today, and U.S. News & World Report.

Together, Drs. Davies and Harrigan host Words & Numbers, FEE’s popular weekly podcast, which provides listeners with thoughtful commentary on news and current events.

They also give seminars throughout the country for FEE’s High School Program. The program is designed to give honors-level high school students a taste of college-level economics and philosophy. Seminars include four one-hour lectures, economic experiments, and plenty of spirited discussions.
