About
Andrew Jason Cohen is Associate Professor of Philosophy and Founding Coordinator of the Bachelors of Interdisciplinary Studies Program in Philosophy, Political Science, and Economics at Georgia State University. He is the author of Toleration (Polity, 2014) as well as articles in journals like Ethics, The Canadian Journal of Philosophy and in new reference works like The Cambridge Companion to Liberalism.
He is now completing a second book on toleration, tentatively titled Toleration and Freedom from Harm: Liberalism Reconceived (Routledge), and also does work with issues taking the individual agent as a source of normativity, individualism and communitarianism, the nature of exchange, and the nature and morality of waste. His third book is likely to be an attempt to apply his work on toleration to business ethics or criminal justice ethics. He also blogs at Bleeding Heart Libertarians.
He is also a member of the FEE Faculty Network.
