Brooke Conaway is an Associate Professor of Economics at Georgia College and State University in Milledgeville, GA. She earned her PhD in Applied Economics from Clemson University in 2009.
She enjoys researching topics in public choice, economic education, and entertainment. Her work includes research explaining the variation in support for the 2012 Georgia Charter Schools Amendment, movie box office success, how to make economics classes more popular as core class options, and how to use “Parks and Recreation” (and in particular, Ron Swanson) to teach economics to undergraduates. She is currently researching why some video games are more successful than others, and whether there is a relationship between baseball salaries and the facial attractiveness of players.
She teaches courses such as Swansonomics, Controversial Economic Issues, Public Choice, Economic Growth, Industrial Organization, and Sex, Drugs and Economics.
Teaching experience - Principles of Microeconomics and Macroeconomics, Economic Growth, Money and Banking, Managerial Economics, Controversial Economic Issues.
