Jason Ridge received his Ph.D. in strategic management from Oklahoma State University. His research has been published in premier journals in the management field such as the Academy of Management Journal, the Strategic Management Journal, and the Journal of Management with two of his articles being featured in the Harvard Business Review online magazine. His research interests span two areas within the strategic management literature: corporate political activity and executive compensation. The first focuses on the interaction between business and government, primarily considering how corporate lobbying shapes the regulatory environment within which firms compete as well as how firms are able to benefit through this activity. His second stream of research focuses on executive compensation and decision making with primary interest in how different compensation mechanisms influence decision making and the overall outcomes of the firm.
